1. Take virtual tours of homes – The real estate industry is adapting quickly and are offering high end photography and video to show fabulous lake homes via virtual tours, video walk through tours, live streaming, and FaceTime. 2. Tackle some DIY home projects you’ve been meaning to do – Are there tasks you’ve been putting off or haven’t had the time for? From spring cleaning to maintenance and repurposing a room. Put all that extra time and energy into something worthwhile, like finally tackling some long-overdue home improvement projects. Especially if you’re preparing to sell in the future.
3. Make (or reaccess) your budget and get pre-approved – If the market has you stressed and concerned about the future, it might help to talk to financial adviser or loan officer and see what is realistic for a future lake house. Budgeting and saving are things that take time to figure out, so take the time while you have it.
